What the training covers
- Find — locating overage opportunities (surplus funds, excess proceeds) in county records.
- Verify — confirming the overage and determining the rightful former owner or heirs.
- Claim — contacting the owner, the written fee agreement, and filing the county's claim documents correctly and on time.
- Get paid — the county approves the claim and releases the funds; your contingency fee is paid only after the owner is paid.
